Annual Wage Review 2012-13—Decision issued
The Fair Work Act 2009 requires the Fair Work Commission's Minimum Wage Panel to conduct and complete a review of minimum wages in modern awards and the national minimum wage in each financial year. This review directly affects over 1.5 million employees in Australia who are reliant upon these minimum wages.
On 3 June 2013, the Panel delivered a 2.6% increase to all modern award rates, to take effect from 1 July 2013.
