Peter Criss performing "Tossin' And Turnin'," from the 1978 album "Peter Criss."

More from Kiss:

The song "Tossin' And Turnin'" by Peter Criss is about someone who can't sleep because they miss someone special. The lyrics talk about how the person struggles to find comfort in bed, feeling restless and anxious. They try different things to distract themselves, like turning on lights or going to the kitchen, but nothing helps. The chorus repeats the idea of tossing and turning, showing how the person can't escape their thoughts.

Peter Criss, the drummer of the hard rock band Kiss, released his first solo album titled "Peter Criss" on September 18, 1978, under the Kiss label, along with solo albums by other members of the band, Ace Frehley, Gene Simmons, and Paul Stanley. Produced by Vini Poncia, who later worked on Kiss albums like "Dynasty" and "Unmasked," the album includes tracks originally written for Criss's earlier band, Lips, such as "I’m Gonna Love You", "Don't You Let Me Down", "That's the Kind of Sugar Papa Likes", and "Hooked on Rock 'n' Roll." Additionally, Criss covers "Tossin' and Turnin'", a song that was a hit in 1961 for Bobby Lewis in the U.S., and was later performed by Kiss during their 1979 tour.
