George Peter John Criscuola, known as Peter Criss, was a famous musician born on December 20, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York. He was part of the well-known hard rock band Kiss, where he played the drums and sometimes sang. Criss created the character called Catman for his role in Kiss. In 2014, he was honored by being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Kiss. In his early years, Criss grew up in Brooklyn with his parents and four siblings. He was interested in art and loved swing music. He even had the chance to learn from his drumming idol, Gene Krupa, while playing with bandleader Joey Greco at the Metropole Club in New York.
