Music from 'The Elder' is the ninth album by the American rock band Kiss. It came out in 1981 on the Casablanca Records label. This album was very different from what they usually did because it had a concept and included orchestral music. It was also the first album with their new drummer, Eric Carr, and the last one with guitarist Ace Frehley until they got back together in 1996.

Kiss, sometimes written as KISS, was a rock band from the United States that started in New York City in 1973. The band members were Paul Stanley (who sang and played rhythm guitar), Gene Simmons (who sang and played bass guitar), Ace Frehley (who played lead guitar and also sang), and Peter Criss (who played drums and sang too). They became famous in the mid-1970s for their wild live shows, where they wore distinctive makeup and costumes. Their performances included things like breathing fire, spitting blood, and using special effects like smoking guitars and shooting rockets. Over the years, the band changed its lineup a few times, but Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons stayed as the main members. In the end, the band included them, along with Tommy Thayer (who played lead guitar and sang) and Eric Singer (who played drums and also sang).
