How to Work with Scientific and Technical Texts
In this video, I explain how to work with printed texts of varying difficulty levels. The rules and reading techniques suggested in the video are applicable to working with texts. After applying this technique, reading comprehension improves.

This video will be useful for students of March 15, 2002, Technological Machines and Equipment, Food Production Machines and Apparatus.
There are several types of reading, depending on its purpose, the complexity of the text, and the level of activity of the reader. We read either for entertainment or for knowledge. Reading for knowledge is further subdivided into two types:
a) reading for information
b) reading for comprehension. Mastering one type of reading does not necessarily mean we can read in other ways.
When reading for information, we learn, select, and remember facts. Reading can be effortless. Memorization is only a prerequisite for comprehension. Erudition determines the quantity of knowledge, not its quality.
Sometimes the complexity of a text exceeds the reader's level, requiring an intellectual effort to overcome this imbalance. This type of reading requires maximum activity and a high level of skill, which turns reading into an art.
