Set & Forget: Easy Ninja Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore with WHITE WINE
This easy-to-follow chicken cacciatore recipe uses juicy chicken pieces simmered in a light and flavorful white wine sauce with fresh herbs and classic cacciatore ingredients.
It is flavorful, healthy and easy to make.
My equipment: Ninja Foodi Multi-cooker 7.5 liter TenderCrisp. Feel free to use the crockpot, possible cooker, or your favourite slow cooker brand!
Ingredients
▢2.2 lb chicken (approx. 1kg), cut into large pieces use any bone-in chicken cuts such as legs or thighs
▢3-4 tablespoon all-purpose flour
▢2-3 tablespoon olive oil or your preferred choice of vegetable oil
▢1 small onion finely diced, or julienne sliced
▢2-3 cloves garlic minced
▢salt to taste
▢black pepper to taste
▢1 peeled carrot finely diced, or julienne sliced
▢1 sweet deseeded yellow or red bell pepper core removed and finely diced, or julienne sliced
▢1 celery stick diced
▢5 fl oz white wine (or 150 ml)
▢7 oz canned tomatoes (or 200g) alternatively, use halved cherry tomatoes.
▢2 tablespoon capers
▢¼ cup low-sodium chicken stock (or broth)
▢a handful of chopped parsley to garnish (optional)
