Anastasia Student Voice
Meet Anastasia, a student at LOETB's Tullamore Further Education and Training Centre, who is studying Level 5 Computer Software and Networks.
Originally from Ukraine, Anastasia is a passionate advocate for women in tech. With previous experience working in a start-up company, she chose to study this course to gain a recognised qualification and take the next step in her career.
Anastasia describes the course as broad and intense, but says the additional learner supports have made a real difference, especially with building confidence and managing coursework. She praised her tutor for the support she received with Maths, which she admitted wasn’t her strongest subject.
She said she has learned so much and is now considering her options for progression, including the possibility of an Apprenticeship.
Anastasia’s story is a great example of how further education can help you upskill, gain confidence, and explore new career opportunities no matter where you start from or previous experience.
