Building The TROHET Speaker Cabinets
It’s cabinet building time! The first step involves working with your hands to hold the wood, add glue and secure the panels in place with ratchet straps. You’ll love this step. You turn six wood panels into a cabinet times two. It can get messy, so wear clothing you don’t care about, or no clothes if that’s your thing.
I highly recommend doing this step with someone. Not only can a helping hand be useful but also a great opportunity to get them to clean up your mess.
If you're making the TROHET speakers from scratch then you would have selected your own timber.
If you don't have the tools or time to cut the material for your speaker cabinets then getting our kit has you sorted.
We've sourced a number of timber materials including Baltic Birch plywood and laminated solid timber options such as Alder, Oak, Eucalyptus and Mahogany. See website for details.
The cabinet material is CNC machined so that each panel is dimensionally accurate, which is important for a gap free glue up.
