Installing the INSULATION into the Trohet speakers
In this step we talk about installing the damping material, also known as insulation.
The damping material single most important job is to absorb reflected sounds within the cabinet. By doing this we ensure that sound waves within the cabinet are absorbed and prevented from being heard. This ensures we get clear unmuffled sound.
The second benefit is that the insulation will dampen the woofers movement at its tuning frequency (40hertz), which in turn controls the woofers movement so that we get tighter bass.
The final benefit is that the insulation makes the speaker cabinet volume appear to be larger to the woofer, such that a lower bass tuning frequency can be obtained.
