Windows 10 Build 9901
This is Windows 10 build 9901 (9901.0.winmain_prs.141202-1718) in VMware Workstation Pro. This is a Technical Preview build which was made available on 14 December 2014. This build was compiled on 2014-12-02 and expired on 2015-04-15.
How I got this to run:
VMware Workstation Pro 16.2.3 with these settings:
Backwards compatibility with VMware Workstation 10.
OS set to Windows 8.
60 GB SCSI HDD
4 GB RAM
4 CPU Cores
VMware Tools 10.0 for drivers (full install)
First set the firmware as BIOS and boot into the firmware to set the BIOS date (be sure to save those changes). Then shut off the VM and change the firmware to UEFI. This is necessary because this build will not run on BIOS (you will get a CPU error when attempting to boot setup on BIOS).
