Windows 2000 Build 2000
This is Windows 2000 build 2000 (5.0.2000.3) Advanced Server in VMware Workstatiom Pro. This was the official Beta 3 Release Candidate 1 of Windows 2000. This build was compiled on 1999-03-12 and does not expire.
How I got this to run:
VMware Workstation Pro 16.2.3 with backwards compatibility with VMware Workstation 6.5-7.0.
OS set to Windows NT (Prevents CPU error)
768 MB RAM.
4 GB IDE HDD.
Network enabled
Add this line to the VMX: acpi.present = "FALSE"
BIOS date does not need to be set.
When setup starts, keep pressing F5 so you can select "Standard PC"
For drivers, use the VMware Tool 6.5 driver for SVGA. Audio should work without any drivers needed. If it happened to not work automatically, then try the 6.5 audio driver. As for system devices, I did not install any drivers for it as it caused a BSoD in the guest.
