Psychology in the Classroom: Three Myths
This video looks at three areas of psychology that teachers of children often seem to misunderstand. And all three of these misunderstandings can have serious consequences in the English classroom.
The first myth involves the theory of multiple intelligences. The second involves the relationship between humanistic approaches and child-centered learning. And the third involves the concept of a fixed and growth mindset.
This is the second in a series of four videos on psychology in the classroom. The first video was on behaviorism and the next two videos will be on constructivism.
