Reo, a 5-year-old boy from Kawasaki City, is battling childhood cancer.
Last month, we showed him running around happily at Yokohama Children's Hospice, a play and learning facility for seriously ill children.

A month later, his condition worsened, and he was transferred to recuperation at home.
During his final moments of life, the hospice's "second family" was by his side.
