In this improvisation, the dancer's activity controls the speed of the voice recording through granular processing and the dancer's height as perceived by the camera controls the pitch of the recording. In addition, there are places on the stage where the voice recording gets "stuck" and the dancer's activity controls the repetition of a single grain. The dancer is Robert Wechsler and the text is by E.J. Graff from her poem Blackbird Fly. Motion detection is done through Frieder Weiss' EyeCon and sound generation is carried out in Max.
