Recently I visited Tokyo Sky Tree, but this time I finally went to the top of currently the worlds tallest tower at 634m high.
I got a train to Oshiage station, and then made my way around the shopping area at the base of The Sky Tree called "Tokyo Solamachi" - http://www.tokyo-solamachi.jp/english/
After making my way around the shopping mall, I went to the web ticket counter as I booked my ticket online. Although there is a website in English, to book the ticket online you have to Japanese (and you also get charged extra for reserving the ticket). The price was around 2,500円.
I made my way to the main entrance for The Sky Tree and eventually got the lift (elevator) to the first observation deck at 350m. The view was amazing, especially with Mt.Fuji clearly visible, and the sun-setting over Tokyo.
At the top you can also buy tickets for an extra 1,000円 to go to the 2nd observation area at 450m. You will also find a cafe and bar at the top of the tower, but it's worth the money.
I also checked out the Christmas Market and illuminations, as from late November you can see illuminations around The Sky Tree, and Tokyo.
