A cool festival held yearly (May 3rd) in Odawara, near to Tokyo.
The festival is called the "Odawara Hojo Godai Matsuri", where 2,000 people make up the Samurai army around Odawara Castle.
The Samurai are then followed by brass brands, school brass bands and the parade is really good. During the parade I also saw Ninjas and the Odawara idol group.
The late 後北条氏 (Hōjō) clan was one of the most powerful clans in Japan, and the emblem (three triangles) can be seen on many of the banners.
After seeing the parade myself and my friends went into Odawara Castle's garden grounds to try the festival food + drinks on offer.
It's a really good day out, during Golden Week in Japan.
