Dragon Quest 12 is still in developement, series creator CONFIRMS 💯
Dragon Quest 12: The Flames of Fate remains in development despite numerous cancellations at Square Enix, series creator Yuji Horii has confirmed.
As reported by GamesRadar, Horii shared an update on X/Twitter, marking the first news since the game's announcement in May 2021. Although he didn't reveal any new details about Dragon Quest 12, he reassured fans that Square Enix is still working on it, even as the series celebrated its anniversary on May 27.
"Thank you all for the congratulations," Horii said during the 38th anniversary celebrations. "I hope it will be a fitting tribute to the two people who have passed away."
