Week 14: Wildlife in Costa Rica Is Unreal… Our Final Weeks
Week 14 – Why We Chose Costa Rica 🇨🇷🌿
This is our second last week living in Costa Rica, and we’re doing everything we can to make the most of it.
It also has us reflecting on why we chose Costa Rica for our first big adventure abroad. The answer is simple: the wildlife.
From the very beginning, that was our main reason — and it has exceeded every expectation. Lately, it feels like we’ve come full circle, getting just as excited as we did in the first weeks. Running to grab each other when spotting animals, like spider monkeys right outside our porch.
At the same time, we’ve slowed things down. Hiking at a calmer pace, being more present and truly taking in the surroundings — knowing moments like these won’t last forever. Who knows when we’ll see sloths or great green macaws like this again?
Alongside it all, we’re enjoying the simple things — beach days, good food and quiet moments — making the most of our final time here.
