Week 17 – Our Arizona–Utah Road Trip Begins 🇺🇸🌄
Before starting the Pacific Crest Trail, we set off on a road trip through Arizona and Utah — and it quickly turns into something special.
We leave Phoenix and the big Saguaro cacti and head toward Sedona, taking in the changing landscapes before arriving to our awesome campsite near Zion National Park. The next morning starts early with one of the most iconic hikes in the US: Angel’s Landing.
It’s both intimidating and unforgettable. Facing fears, pushing through and being rewarded with incredible views. And trail snack.
From there, we continue the journey through Bryce Canyon, celebrating a birthday out hiking in nature, discovering scenic routes and ending the day at a remote free campsite under the stars near Capitol Reef National Park.
The road then takes us through Monument Valley and past Forrest Gump Hill, before finishing the day in Page with good food (Texas BBQ) and live country music.
A mix of big moments, small moments and everything in between — this is the beginning of our road trip before the Pacific Crest Trail adventure soon begins.
