🌟 This week was a total rollercoaster, and I can’t wait to share all the craziness with you. 😅 From being sick for the first time in years, to my cats interrupting my filming this morning, it’s been a wild ride. 🐱🤒 But hey, I’m still alive, so that’s the good news! 🙌🏼
Let me start by saying that getting sick really made me appreciate good health. 🌈 I woke up this morning feeling better and grateful for every breath I took. 💪🏼 But wow, being sick completely derailed my week. 😩 I’m usually a homebody, so being around so many people at a birthday party over the weekend was probably the culprit. Lesson learned! 🙅🏼♀️
I won’t lie, being sick was tough with such a full schedule. 😷 It felt like my whole body was fighting, I even had asthma-like symptoms which I haven't experience this severely since childhood, however I managed to push through 💀 Priorities, right? 😅
Taking a full week off from training was definitely unsettling, especially with my fitness goals in mind. 🏋🏼♀️ But I knew I had to listen to my body and give it the rest it needed. So, this week, I focused on choosing exercises based on my most important muscle groups (Glutes and Shoulders), which hopefully offset any short term muscle breakdown, while burning a few calories so my weight didn't jump back up too much with such a big shift in energy balance. This seemed to help me stay on track. 📈
Now, let’s talk about food. 🍔 Despite having a suppressed appetite and no taste, I knew my body needed fuel to recover. So, I made sure to keep eating, especially protein, even if I didn’t really feel like it. And let me tell you, when I finally felt better, I indulged in some comfort food! 🍜🍟 I treated myself to a mouthwatering pulled pork cheese melt and a delicious Smash Burger and homemade creamy tomato basil soup. It was pure heaven! 😋
But enough about my food adventures. Let’s dive into the data for the week. 📊 My weight fluctuated due to water retention from being sick, but overall, I managed to lose 2 pounds from the previous week. 🎉 And despite missing some training sessions, I hit some personal records on my first day back. 💪🏼 Crazy how just a little extra rest, will help improve your strength!
I’m excited to get back on track this week and continue working towards my goal. 🏆 I’ll be sharing more updates and answering your questions in the next video, so stay tuned! 📺 Thank you all for your support and for sticking with me through the ups and downs. 💕
Remember, even when things get tough, we can always find a way to bounce back and keep going. 🌈 So let’s crush this week together! 👊🏼 Stay healthy, stay positive, and stay awesome! 😄✨
