One Night at Dime's House
One night, Dime called me and told me to come over and unload the purple bus. He had in the undercarriage an 8-string Hamer bass like that dude in Cheap Trick played. I unpacked it and plugged it into his Morley Auto-wah. Plugged that into a Marshall half. This night was born.
On a Friday or Saturday, not sure which, Bicks knows, but we went to Dime's house. King Diamond was there. Phil was there. Some dude from EyeHateGod and Crowbar. Dime told me, go get that bass and get on my coffee table and start playing.
I said no. He insisted. So I walked downstairs and got on the table. Started doing riffs. Hamer 8, Morley, Marshall half. It was GOD. Then I hear this drummer kick in, and I see this cat playing a little kid's kit. Smoke happens.
Then, Dime happened. He magically appears in the smoke beside me, on the table. He elbowed me and we ran with it for almost twenty minutes. My only regret is, he wanted to play our song, "Drone," and I was ready to hang it up. But we'd played three shows in a row, so what're you gonna do?
