Japan's glam rock veterans of the 60s groups sounds scene Vodka Collins perform their song "Boys In The Band" from the 1997 Vodka Collins "Pink Soup" album at the Yokohama Jazz & Blues Festival 1997.
The song was also the title track of their 2005 retrospective compilation album.

Vodka Collins started as a band in 1971, and have made 5 albums over 4 decades, with long breaks in between reunions. The band members are Alan Merrill (lead guitar & vocals), Monsieur Kamayatsu (guitar & vocals), Hiroshi Oguchi (drums), and Masayoshi Kabe (bass).

Vodka Collins is a sort of Japanese supergroup.
Merrill is the former lead singer of the Arrows (UK) and has played guitar with the bands Meat Loaf, and Derringer. A foreigner, he started his career in Japan with a group sounds called The Lead.
Mounsieur Kamayatsu was a founding member of the group sounds sensation The Spiders.
Masayoshi "Mabo" Kabe was with the hit Yokohama based band The Golden Cups. Hiroshi Oguchi was drummer of the bad boys of the group sounds, The Tempters, who were also enormously popular.
