I recently released a new tutorial series about Houdini on my gumroad. And this one should be particularly exciting if you are looking to generate procedural cliffs either for concept, environment work or ocean simulations.

Here is an extract of this course !

In this video I am showing my workflow to deal with shading using Megascan Bridge. I am rendering with redshift but keep in mind this process would totally apply with any other engine... Just a matter of looking for the equivalent nodes.

At the same time I am doing a demo of my latest HDAlc, the "MaskBuilder", which allow the creation of complex geometry attributes in a few clicks. Showing in the course how to handle that from scratch.

I designed it to make the creation of environment easier. In my course I am using it in order to :
Bring modeling breakups (strata layer, local variations)
Help shading / blend different megascan material together.
Feed into a scattering system to generate grass, rock pebbles.

You can find AL-MaskBuilder either part of my Tutorial Bundle (Tutorial + Project Files + Tools)
https://gumroad.com/products/pYaGH

Or by itself :

Of course you can totally apply these principles without my tools if you are comfortable with manipulating Houdini geometry datas/attributes. My goal was mostly to make a tool that makes this process easier and faster.

Anyway I hope this will be usefull. And if you are curious about the course don't hesitate to check out the trailer and gumroad page. :)
