Dege Peak - Mountain Rainier National Park
There is two starting point for Dege Peak, one from the top of Sunrise and a shorter one from Sunrise Point, which is the one I hiked from. The trail is a stead climb and is mostly open with view on both sides. You can also see Sunrise lake and Clover Lake from the trail. Towards the top when you get near the ridge, there was one snow field to cross, the trail veers left into the woods, I wouldn't attempt following the snowfield ridgeline as the slope is dangerous and slippery. Usually you you have closeup views of Mt Rainier and views of the other volcanoes in a distance but the mountains were hiding in the clouds this time.
