Boardman Lake hike is a good alternative to Lake 22 and Heather Lake which get really packed. Although to get to Boardman Lake, you need a high clearance vehicle to get through car size potholes that are not avoidable. Less than a quarter mile into the hike you see Lake Evan not to be mistaken for Boardman Lake, take the trail take splits to the left and goes uphill. Its an easy 2 mile round trip with about 300 ft elevation gain.
I did this hike with George, you can check out his version on his channel.
