Yosemite National Park | North Rim Trail [2022]

Late May 2022, an old friend & I went up to Yosemite National Park to hike an extended version of what's known as the 'North Rim Trail', which includes notable locations like Yosemite Falls, Eagle Peak, El Capitan, North Dome, Indian Arch, Indian Rock, and constant views of Half Dome.
Our route took us up steep switchbacks, over exposed granite ridges, through dense forests populated with sequoias & redwoods, and over clear streams. We were lucky to get pleasant weather the entire trip, with abundant water sources and seemingly endless views of both nearby Half Dome and the snowcapped High Sierra off in the distance.
It's always hard to pick a singular favorite moment on these trips - but on this one, I'd have to say my highlight was cowboy camping (i.e. no tent) on top of famed El Cap, and falling asleep beneath the Milky Way.
This was my first time visiting Yosemite as well as the Sierra, and hopefully it won't be my last :)
