Simple Apple Crisp
This is a very easy desert to make and oh so delicious.
Here's the recipe just as my mother made it over 40 years ago, I said 30 years on the video but then when I thought about it I realized it's been much longer.
Apple Crisp
Choose 7 medium Golden Delicious apples (must be firm)
Peel and slice
Add 2-3 tablespoons water
Place in a 10" square Pyrex dish (I don't think Pyrex makes 10" dishes anymore
9" square will work)
Combine to crumb stage:
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 stick plus 2 tablespoons butter
Sprinkle over apples 2-3 dashes of cinnamon
2 dashes of salt
Place crumb mixture over apples and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until done and crispy on top.
