Making Quinones from Tylenol
In this video I demonstrate how to make benzoquinone and hydroquinone from Paracetamol (Tylenol).
This video was fully experimental for me (even more so than my typical upload) and the idea was to essentially try a milder version of my synthesis of chloranil from paracetamol.
That said, my priority here was in making a pure final product rather than maximizing yield, and I'm 100% sure improvements can be made to various steps throughout this ad-hoc procedure.
