Making a Powerful Decarboxylation Catalyst
In this video I show how to make the decarboxylation catalyst copper chromite. This chemical can also be used as a catalyst for certain hydrogenation reactions, but I intend to use it to decarboxylate niacin to pyridine, which is very hard to do even with typical catalysts.
Copper chromite is also sometimes used as a grey pigment.
