So, I was a bit lazy and sitting on the couch and hadn't picked up the remote to start the FOXTEL box. The television screen had a rotating "ice cube", with LG logon inside, bounching around the screen, a bit like PONG, as a screen saver.

Fun aside, despite this moving animation being there to protext the phospher from "burning" if the TV was left ON, with FOXTEL OFF, we've a ERROR 402 (or something) burnt on the screen from the FOXTEL box being OFF while the TV was ON any old how.

Anyway.

It popped into me head that the rotating ice with logo amidst was a kool idea, so I thought I would play with that.

Glass shader for surface and volume. Slight blue tinge for the volume, as I put a slight blue into the black background.

The ice shader from this tutorial was uses:    • [3.1] Blender Beginner  Tutorial: Glass in...

Cracks from here:    • How to make procedural cracks in Blender [...

The quirk with the cracks was that, as I set up the rotating cube, it was obvious the shader was projected spherically and it seems the surface features are therefore changing as the spherical projection projects onto a rectilinear shape.

I did try, for a while, to work this out, to get the surface to behave like a cracked surface, but it occured to me that this effect is more interesting. I'll still fiddle with working out a solution to map this properly. It may be some quirk of geometry nodes, since the animation is driven by a scene node in the geometry nodes.
