How to get Pcs Kgs litters etc signs along with numeric values
How to get Pcs, Kgs litters etc. signs along with numeric values, suppose we have table like this, and want to add special characters along with numeric numbers, as pieces, KGs, litters etc. along with numeric values, here in this table you can see quantity has mentioned along with pcs, but we are facing problem when the quantity value is counted or is multiplied with prices it shows error, here you can see when we want to multiply this quantity value with price it is showing error, that we cannot get the results, so in excel we have solution for this, first select the table values, then from main task bar under general select Format cells option after selecting this we will get new page or form from there under number we will select custom, after selecting this remove general option and write zero after writing zero write quotation marks or inverted comas if want give space between number and pcs give space, then write pieces and then close the quotation marks. now our work has completed, now you can see our first value is showing pcs with numeric value, and amount column is also showing amount value, so in same way we will re write all numeric values and will get pcs sign automatically with them, when as general without pcs we are multiplying quantity with price it is showing results, but when we have text values then it is showing error. but as general it is working perfectly but do not have pieces sign along with quantity.
now you can see we can sum up the values of quantity cell, when sum formula is applied we will get total of quantities along with pcs sign. so in this way we can get any type of sign as per our requirements, this sign can be pcs, kg, litters or any other as per our choice, first select table values, go to format cells option and from general change the option to custom, and write value as per our demand, first write zero and after this write the sign as per our demand along with inverted comas and then press ok button. now here you can see i have changed the format to kg, now this column will show us kg signs along with quantities, in same way we can change this sign to litters, but here we need pcs sign so again this we will change to pcs sign. now you apply the same function on your excel sheet and update me your function is working or not, for more clearance if you need this excel sheet can get the link of this excel sheet down from description. if you like this video please thumbs up, share and subscribe my channel setline excel for more great videos.
