The young boy remained engulfed in his grief, the constant stream of tears falling from his face, leaving a trail of sorrow. Despite his blurred vision, he could still feel the coldness of the teardrops as they fell onto his white sleeve. The wet fabric absorbing the signs of his pain and anguish.
The young boy’s form was moved into a tight ball, his body aching from the hours spent in that same, uncomfortable position. Despite the constant pain in his back, he did not dare to move, feeling trapped within the confines of his own misery. He continued to bury his head in his arms, a makeshift shelter from the world that had cruelly shattered around him. A shelter from the… cruel, horrid killing game that he was forced to participate in.
The boy's eyes fixated upon the distinct black shoes that he knew all too well. His blurred gaze following their familiar form before shifting upwards towards the figure standing before him. The sight of the recognizable purple hair and yellow horns should have brought comfort, but he couldn’t shake the knowledge that this was no more than a heartbreaking…
…Hallucination.
“MC was already dead,” he repeated to himself. The figure before him was merely a cruel taunt, a mockery of the hope he desperately longed to cling onto.
“Let's bake like the good o’ times!” they proclaimed, their tone filled with a joyous enthusiasm.
The sound of the figure’s cheerful voice echoed in his ears, a stark contrast to the turmoil within his heart. He closed his eyes tightly, desperately wishing the hallucination would fade away and leave him alone in his grief.
Luke took a trembling breath, surrounded by the engulfing darkness of his room. His mind was troubled, struggling with the fact that what he was experiencing was nothing more than a hallucination, a cruel trick of his own mind. He mentally reminded himself that it was all the doing of Keiyo.
It was just another… motive.
Luke’s longing for alone time clawed at him, an intense desire to be completely isolated. He yearned to be free from the presence of everyone, away from the shadows of Simeon, Belphegor, Diavolo, and Mephistopheles. He just wanted to be left alone, to dwell in the silent comfort of his own thoughts.
Yet… here he was, being tortured by his dear old friend.
What.. a sick joke.
Luke's hands shook uncontrollably as he desperately attempted to shield himself from the haunting hallucinations of his deceased friend, MC. He clenched his hands tightly over his ears, seeking to block out the tormenting words that echoed mercilessly in his mind.
It was just… hallucination.
