Kokyu : Misato Tachidani
One of the few Kokyu players in Japan.
She is from Yatsuo town in Toyama prefecture where Ecchu Owara-bushi (famous minyo) was born.
She became familiar with the traditional festival "Kaze no Bon" in Yatsuo Town from a young age, and she perform all the dance, Shamisen and Kokyu.
She began to learn the kokyu with the hope of passing on the sound of the lost Kokyu to the world.
She performed with the Tsugaru shamisen, Shinobue and Japanese drums. in various fields such as cello and flamenco.
She has also been active in collaborating with artists to promote the appeal of Kokyu to the world.
She has performed at the Czech Embassy in June 2023, and also she will performed at New York in October.
