Traditional shamisen
A traditional shamisen is made of stiff wood, such as that from the Koki tree or Karin tree. It is the most common type used in several genres, including nagauta, hauta, and minyo. The shamisen is classified into two types: ‘Hosozao’ and ‘Chuzao’, according to the thickness of the neck.
伝統的な三味線は、紅木あるいは花梨と呼ばれる非常に固い木で作られます。長唄や端唄、民謡など、あらゆるジャンルで使用される、最もオーソドックスなスタイルです。棹の太さにより、細棹と中棹に分けられます。
