DUBAI (UAE): HISTORIC DEAL APPROVED AT COP28
In extended negotiations on Wednesday, delegates approved a historic deal to enable countries transition from fossil fuel to meeting the global goal. The deal, known as the “Global Stocktake Agreement,” for the first time, pushes nations to transition from the use of fossil fuels to avert the worst effects of climate change. COP28 President, Sultan al-Jabar said the UAE Consensus offers crucial action for a better, cleaner world and equitable prosperity.
