Meet Eping, one of our 12 #BeatTheClock champions. The clock she’s beating is the estimate from the World Economic Forum that it will take 131 years to achieve gender equality. Eping isn’t going to wait for that.
“One of the victims of climate change is ourselves.”
On the island of Lembata in Indonesia, 18-year-old Eping is reminded of climate change in her community every time someone coughs. The island’s hot, dusty conditions trigger respiratory problems, especially in urban areas where green spaces are few and far between.
