How to automate LinkedIn connections - this is a crazy LinkedIn bot case study.
PhantomBuster is wild tool for these automations.
It’s kind of auto DMs on LinkedIn. Auto connections, like a bunch of stuff. A lot of scraping and stuff like that.
This is from @iamjasonlevin. He says:
So what I did was I created this phantom—it’s called a phantom—that connects with everybody who has a16z in their bio.
This is people who work at a16z, people who are funded by a16z, and then it connects with them and after it connects it says, “Hey you get a chance to check out my newsletter about organic growth for startups.”
That was actually getting a lot of subscribes from like VCs at a16z, and from people who are funded by a16z who are potential customers.
Another one I did was YC.
A lot of people who are funded by Y Combinator, they put it in their LinkedIn header.
It says like “YC S16” which is Summer 16 class.
There’s like thousands of people who have gone through YC who have that in their bio.
So I just had it sending for you know thousands of people and it does like 20 every day but like it adds up, you know, and it’s gotten me customers, it’s gotten me readers.
You’re doing 20 connections a day from this?
Yeah yeah yeah.
And that’s 20 pitches to join the newsletter a day?
Exactly.
Here’s another hack too.
It’s a lot more natural just to send a LinkedIn request without a message.
If I’m connecting with a friend I’m not going to include a message.
The people who include a message, it’s usually just spammers generally or like an AI sales dev person.
So I just connect without a message and then after they accept, PhantomBuster sends a message saying “Hey did you get a chance to check out my newsletter?” with the link.
