Biopsy is a well established tool for the diagnosis of lesions of undefined nature and other multiple disorders.
The efforts to obtain as much material as possible to achieve the diagnosis and allow the analysis of the receptor profile has stimulated the development of biopsy techniques and materials available, also in accordance with the technological advancement of the last century.
