Sue Big Oil - Virtual Launch
On June 15, 2022, West Coast Environmental Law hosted the official launch of the Sue Big Oil Campaign, with a call on BC local governments to do more to protect their communities from heat waves, wildfires, flooding and other climate impacts – including by suing the fossil fuel companies most responsible.
The Campaign kicked off with an online event hosted by noted journalist Avi Lewis, featuring experts and campaigners who outlined this bold campaign and legal strategy to demand accountability from major polluters. Over 150 people attended the virtual launch, and you can view the full recording above.
