Nurturing RELAW's Roots: Standing Up Indigenous Law
Indigenous legal traditions have played an important role in ensuring the preservation of lands, waters and cultural heritage on Turtle Island. RELAW – Revitalizing Indigenous Law for Land, Air and Water, a program of WCEL – supports this continuous resurgence. This short film shines a spotlight on RELAW’s Co-Learning Program, where knowledge holders, community members and allies come together to share lessons & solutions to contemporary environmental challenges, grounded in Indigenous law-based strategies.

This film was recorded on Tla-o-qui-aht, nuučaan̓uł territory (Tofino, BC), where we were grateful to gather during the RELAW Co-Learning Retreat in June 2023.
