Running The Southampton Marathon - My First Sub 3 Hour Marathon!
The Southampton Marathon is one of the most popular races in the South of England. Runners are treated to iconic sites during the 26.2 miles including the Southampton Guildhall, the ABP docks, the Itchen Bridge, St Mary's Football Stadium, and Southampton Common.
Having neglected marathons since I ran the Paris marathon back in 2021, I decided it was time to try my hand at the 26.2 mile distance one again. After a fairly fast half marathon in the first part of the race, I realised I could go for my very first sub 3 hour marathon. This video is how I got on!

My final marathon time was 2 hours, 58 minutes and 6 seconds. With this being my 5th marathon, I'm thrilled to beat the sub 3 hour marathon mark at this fantastic race.
