Lake Tahoe Scenic Drive - Hellman-Ehrman Mansion - Eagle Falls Hiking - Toyota Tacoma TRD - Day 2
Today we’ll be exploring the south western part of the lake. It’s a full day schedule in the early spring/late winter season. We are starting off in Tahoe City. We’ll drive south and hike up Eagle Rock, a short but beautiful trail. We’ll pay a brief visit to Sugar Pine Point Campground and check out the State Park and Hellman Ehrman Mansion, where we stop for some lunch. Then we’ll continue down to Emerald Bay State Park, where we hike and bring out the snowshoes to check out Eagle Falls and Eagle Lake. Ending the day with a dinner, some amazing pizza, in Heavenly Village close to the state line.
This is episode 2 of my trip to Lake Tahoe. In the previous episode I picked up my Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road rental car at SFO, drove to lake Tahoe and checked into my cabin at the Cottage Inn in Tahoe City, very close to lake itself.
During this trip I’m driving a Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad 4WD Pickup truck, mine is a Double Cab Short Bed, with a 3.5 Liter Gasoline V-6 and a 6-Speed Automatic. What a fantastic truck to enjoy a long weekend trip around the lake with. I’m glad you’re here to enjoy the ride! Let’s roll!
