Lake Tahoe in a Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4 - Day 1
Ever wondered what's Lake Tahoe's most beautiful drive? Or curious to check out a review of the 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD? This video combines both, kind of! During this video I take you along on a weekend trip to Lake Tahoe, a beautiful big freshwater lake located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, straddling the border of California and Nevada. Tahoe is known for its ski resorts, beaches and lodges, and it's a great destination for a weekend-getaway when you're in the Bay Area.
I start my trip off at San Francisco International Airport, where I pick up my rental car for this trip, a Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4 from 2022. The Tacoma isn't sold in Europe, so it's my first time driving one, and I'm completely new to the vehicle. This truck is super common for a US audience, but perhaps you'll be entertained by a European's perspective on America's most sold mid-size pickup truck. Since what we get in Europe is the Hilux, which looks quite a lot different.
This video covers day 1, during which I drive from SFO, past Sacramento, to Tahoe City, a town on the northwestern shore of the lake. Most people go to Lake Tahoe for the snow, mansion, for winter vacation to go skiing, fishing or perhaps to see some bears swimming. I'm there for the beautiful scenic road, the atmosphere, and the many hiking trails.
