Tomoyasu Hotei's guitar playing, recognizable at first listen, has captivated countless fans both in Japan and overseas. Hits like "POISON" and "Thrill," as well as numerous classics like "BATTLE WITHOUT HONOR OR HUMANITY," the main theme of the film "Kill Bill," and songs by the legendary rock band BOØWY, continue to be loved and played by fans of all generations.
Hotei, wanting to preserve something that is relevant in this day and age, started the "G-STAGE" effects project with FREE THE TONE.
"We may be getting older, but there are some things that never change. The nostalgic sounds that were played in those days. We want to preserve our sound."
After testing numerous prototypes and a development period spanning approximately five years, the "G-STAGE" is finally complete.
In this video, Hotei and FREE THE TONE representative, Hayashi, examine the sound and specifications in detail. We hope you'll get a sense of their passion for the "G-STAGE."
The G-STAGE, a limited production model of 300 units worldwide, is equipped with an external foot switch for real-time operation of the DELAY/FLASH functions. It also comes with a certificate signed by Tomoyasu Hotei with a serial number and a pick with a limited G-STAGE design.
Get your hands on the "Hotei sound" that has captivated fans for over 40 years!
