The Normal blending mode shows all of the pixels of a layer in an unmodified state. This is the default blending mode - and the one you’ve been using all along - even if you didn’t know it! I use the Normal blending mode most often to create double-exposure looks or to blend multiple images of the same scene into a composite image.
