Lets Build Twitter From the Ground Up: Episode 186 || Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and React
Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.
In this episode we continue working inside of the create message modal, but setting up the ability to select users we have previously messaged for new conversations. To do this we setup a user card component that allows us to click on individual users, or even open previous group conversations. After we get the basic structure of the user card completed we style it to look like twitter and generate one for each conversation inside of the create message modal content. Finally we wrap up with setting up the logic inside to display the correct text and either add or remove a user for a new conversation or open up a previous group conversation.
