my name is Kooy they call me Mr Kooy
um this Camp is a hip-hop intensive
which really turned out to be the
hip-hop intro intensive but the thing is
with the camp it's it's more interactive
there's a lot of different activities
that they can do in camps that can give
them different perspectives to what
we're doing classes are very specific
you know it's like technique
um
freestyle choreography you know whereas
camps we get into different things
um concerning hip-hop we a lot of
different angles for those things you
know there's more time it's more laid
back
um and I would just say overall more fun
but you're still learning a lot of stuff
you know we're not just doing hip-hop
we're also doing other Street Styles you
know like crop locking popping all that
stuff
um but specifically when it comes to
hip-hop culture
um I have been teaching them that it's a
culture right it's not just a dance
style it's also them seeing which every
now and then we'll bust out into little
raps instead we'll do a little rap
battles and stuff like that it's laid
back in the sense that like you can be
your authentic self in the studio you
don't have to worry about
um putting on like a mask right
um the kids also learn discipline though
here we hold kids accountable and we try
to have them hold themselves accountable
um and take responsibility for their own
learning
but at the same time you know we

we create an atmosphere so they can have
fun doing all that stuff like like give
them a lot of guidance along the way so
fun
discipline
a lot of knowledge and information
