Hilaria Baldwin famously forgot how to say "cucumber" when making this gazpacho recipe, but I haven't seen anyone try her recipe for gazpacho andaluz to see how authentic it really is.
In Episode 2 of Samantha's Kitchencita, I invite Hilaria Baldwin to show us how to make her authentic Spanish gazpacho. This is a typical dish in Spanish cuisine, especially in the south of Spain - Andalusia - and if you're moving to Spain or living in Spain, it's an easy Spanish recipe you'll want to have in your arsenal.
The great thing about gazpacho is that there's no one true correct recipe. Every family in Spain that makes gazpacho has their own version of the dish, and even the toppings for gazpacho change from place to place, person to person.
I think the fact that Hillary Baldwin made people start calling her Hilaria and faked a Spanish accent is really weird, but it's clear that she really does love Spanish culture. Her gazpacho recipe has one strange ingredient, and is missing another very important one, but all in all, the woman knows how to make gazpacho.

Este es un plato típico de la cocina española, especialmente en el sur de España, Andalucía, y si te mudas a España o vives en España, es una receta española fácil que querrás tener en tu arsenal.
Lo mejor del gazpacho es que no existe una sola receta correcta y verdadera. Cada familia que hace gazpacho en España tiene su propia versión del plato, e incluso las guarniciones para el gazpacho cambian de un lugar a otro, de persona a persona.
Creo que el hecho de que Hillary Baldwin se hiciera llamar Hilaria y fingiera acento español es bastante extraño, pero está claro que realmente ama la cultura española. Su receta de gazpacho tiene un ingrediente extraño, y le falta otro muy importante, pero en general, la mujer sabe hacer gazpacho.
