Can you easily and effectively replace a headlamp bulb or tail lamp bulb? Well, maybe you can, maybe you can't, that depends on the automobile. The actual operation of replacing a headlamp bulb is pretty simple, except for being able to access it. Now, the backs of the headlamps on some cars are completely concealed. You may have to take the battery out or the air filter housing out, or who knows what. It's really lousy engineering on the part of the manufacturers but the operation itself is incredibly simple. Once you've gained access to the back of the headlamp assembly, to remove the bulb all you do is take a hold of it, turn it a quarter of a turn counter clockwise and out it comes. It's very easy. Now, the other thing that you have to remember is, you never touch the glass of a headlamp bulb with your fingers. If you do accidentally touch it, you have to take an alcohol swab and wipe all of the oils from your finger off it or the bulb will have a very short life.
