Scot Drake Demo - Rock Colony
This was a fun little "de-stress" painting that I created last night. There is not a lot of "there" there in the concept, but it was a nice exercise. I have been trying to find a good balance of natural world and sci-fi. I enjoy seeing visions of the future that are optimistic, but they seem to miss the drama that a dogfight between concept spaceships ripping through the middle of the piece, an invasion of a robot army or an alien attack would bring. I will find the hook and the stories that I want to tell one of these days, but for now, it is nice mind numbing way to end the day.
